What is single-stream recycling?

  • Single-stream recycling is a system in which all recyclables, including newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum, junk mail, etc., are placed in a single bin or cart for recycling.  No need for sorting!

 

When does my service begin?

  • Service cycle is for one calendar month, from the 1st to the last day of the month.

What day is my pickup?

  • The schedule is not final.  Information will be communicated to customers and will also be available here.

 

When is my monthly payment due?

  • The first payment is due at sign-up. Future payments will be due on the 27th of each month. Your auto payment date will be updated in your account.

  • For example, if you sign up on October 15th, your monthly cycle will begin on November 1st. Your next payment will then be on November 27th for the December cycle.

 

Can I cancel my service?

  • Yes, you may cancel at any time by selecting Cancel on your account.

 

What do you collect?

  • Aluminum/Tin

  • Cardboard/Paper

  • Glass

  • Plastics (including grocery bags)

  • Styrofoam

What do you not collect?

  • Clothing

  • Ceramics and kitchenware

  • Windows and mirrors

  • Photographs

  • Construction materials

  • Auto parts/tires

  • Electronics

  • Paint

  • Batteries

 

What if I accidentally put trash in my bin by mistake?

  • Bins with waste will not be emptied. We will reach out to inform you about the contamination.   

  • Pickup will be rescheduled for the following week.

  • Including non-recyclable or dirty items can contaminate the recycling stream and and may cause damage to our equipment. Thank you for your understanding!

Do I have to wash items before placing in the recycle bin? 

  • Items must be empty and clean—no traces of food, please!
